Clutter is noise to the eye
A cacophony of chaos
That distracts
Forces lids shut
Like hands over ears
Desperate for focus nowhere
Yet everywhere to be found
Too many choices
Eyes need a place to land
A cacophony of chaos
That distracts
Forces lids shut
Like hands over ears
Desperate for focus nowhere
Yet everywhere to be found
Too many choices
Eyes need a place to land
Clean up clutter
Clear view
Clear mind
Find peace
Breathe deep
See clear

I'm on the same idea as you are, the noise and clutter in our minds and spirits and our need for peace. I am your neighbour on FMF
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you, neighbor! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteYes, there is some clutter here,
ReplyDeletetools and wood and steel and glue.
Great Dane Peanut stole my beer,
and upon the can he'll chew
while Chihuahuas madly bark
for they can't but disapprove
of a boisterous land shark
who in Budweiser finds his groove,
but they love him just the same
and when he gets his french-fry meal
make it something of a game
to drive him off it and then steal
the food that I with love prepare,
but they're Chihuahuas - they don't care!
As we prepare to move, the noise of the unnecessary in my life shouts at me. Keep me. Keep. Keep. No. NO. NO!!!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that noise! Such hard decisions. I'll be praying for you Annie. Lord, please give her peace as she moves and go with her--as You always do. Amen.
DeleteI love this--"Clutter is noise to the eye
ReplyDeleteA cacophony of chaos."
Something I never thought of before, but so very true.
Janet, Great poem! This is so true.
